Tests of the prototype of a setup for the detection of diamonds in kimberlite by tagged neutrons method that Diamant LLC. held on the territory of the Pomorsk geological factory of Severalmaz branch of ALROSA company in July-September 2015, are successfully completed.
In 2015, Diamant LLC. received the status of a resident of the Skolkovo innovation center.
LLC. Diamond together with ALROSA (PJSC) is implementing a project on the development of systems for dry processing of kimberlite ore using tagged neutrons method.
The method of tagged neutrons can detect diamonds in kimberlite ore without its crushing, and thus prevent their damage in the process. Dry processing technology does not require the use of water, significantly reducing energy costs and improving the environmental situation in the diamond mining.
In July-August 2015 it is planned to conduct field tests of the prototype of separator for the dry processing of kimberlite ore by using tagged neutron method. The tests will be held at the Lomonosov GOK PJSC Severalmaz (Arkhangelsk). Skolkovo Foundation provided a grant to build a prototype of the separator.
